The scholarship known as the University of Auckland Global Scholarly Distinction Grant has been established to cater to fresh international entrants pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies. On a biannual basis, up to 50 Scholarships will be granted, each holding an approximate value of $10,000, dedicated to both postgraduate and undergraduate studies.
Qualification Criteria:
Eligible candidates must be recently admitted international students, either holding an unconditional offer or English Language Academy (ELA) students with a conditional offer. The proposed course of study includes Postgraduate Diploma or Masters (taught) of 120 points or more, or an undergraduate degree (applying with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications) at the University of Auckland. Applicants are generally expected to maintain a grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00.
Selection will be grounded in academic merit, the caliber of the application letter, and the endorsement by the applicant’s referee. The selection committee may also take into consideration the applicant’s country of origin.

Typically, scholarship applications become accessible around 6 weeks before the closing date. The closing date for applications is 18 April 2024 for courses commencing in July 2024, and 21 November 2024 for courses commencing in February 2025.
