Eligibility:
To qualify for the Pearson Global Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an international student, necessitating a study permit (non-Canadian).
- Currently in the final year of secondary school or graduated no earlier than June 2023.
- Initiate studies at the University of Toronto in September 2024 (students currently pursuing post-secondary studies cannot be considered; those commencing studies in January 2024 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered).
Application Guidelines:
Commencing in September 2023, applications will be open. To become a Pearson Scholar, one must receive a nomination from their school and apply for undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. The application process involves: - Obtaining a nomination from the school (High schools yet to be contacted/verified are urged to submit a nomination rights application available here.)
- Applying to study at the University of Toronto for the 2024 academic year, completing the admission application by the specified deadlines.
- Once the University receives a nomination and the applicant has applied, the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application can be finalized.
The school nomination deadline is November 30, 2023. The student admissions deadline is December 15, 2023 (applicants are encouraged to apply before November 7, 2023). The scholarship application deadline is January 15, 2024.
