Carleton Prestigious Grants

Introduction:
Carleton University extends a spectrum of Prestigious grants to exceptional incoming undergraduates boasting an admission average of 90% or higher. These distinguished grants comprise the Chancellor’s Merit Award, the Richard Lewar Gateway Grant, the Carleton University Distinction Grant, the Carleton University SHAD Grant, the Riordon Grant, and the Collins Prestigious Grant.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
Chancellor’s Merit Awards: $30,000 ($7,500 annually for 4 years).
Richard Lewar Gateway Awards: $21,500 ($6,500 in the first year and $5,000 in the second, third, and fourth years).
Carleton University Distinction Awards: $20,000 ($5,000 annually for 4 years).
Carleton University SHAD Awards: $20,000 ($5,000 annually for 4 years).
Riordon Grant: Full tuition for the first, second, third, and fourth years, capped at the Canadian domestic full tuition fee.
Collins Prestigious Grant: Full tuition for the first, second, third, and fourth years, capped at the Canadian domestic full tuition fee.
Grants are renewable with an annual GPA of 10.0.


Eligibility:
Consideration for a prestigious grant is contingent upon direct entry into Carleton from high school or CEGEP. Individuals who have previously attended a post-secondary educational institution (either college or university) are ineligible for these accolades.
For all prestigious grants, a minimum admission average of 90 percent is mandatory. The selection panel will evaluate the spectrum of your community or secondary school extra-curricular engagements.


Application guidelines:
Presently, submissions are not being accepted.
The deadline for submitting applications for all grants for the Academic Year 2020-2021 was 1 March 2020.
